Collector of Native American artifacts

Flint and quartz were used to make arrowheads like the one centered on a shield Cullom made.
The Cherokee passed down legends about Yunwi Tsunsdi, “little people,” who helped the elderly and sick. Cullom believes that tale could have originated in images like the one in this cross section of a poplar tree.
The Cherokee incorporated animal forms into the design of objects like this water vessel and decorative breastplate.
This decorative pendant, most likely crafted by a Southwestern tribe, illustrates a man at work. A stone ornament found near Burnsville bears a rattlesnake and tortoise.
