On The Verge submission - bbardos
Born on Ketchikan Island, Alaska, Bonnie Joy Bardos grew up in North Carolina and attended Wingate College in Wingate, North Carolina, along with taking courses in watercolor, pen/ink drawing, and oil painting with CPCC. In prior years, she took art workshops/classes with Patricia Cole-Ferullo, Dale McEntire; and Mike Stiler on Monhegan Island, Maine, a clay workshop with Mike Lalone, and an oil painting workshop at Arrowmont School with Libby Johnson. “Painting in the Now” is an art work shop she presented with Saluda Fine Arts.
She often incorporates verses of her poetry in paintings, which have been in juried shows and shown at the Upstairs Artspace, a respected contemporary non-profit gallery in Tryon, NC. Currently, she helps manage the Upstairs Artspace part-time, and is a working artist at her home studio in Saluda.
