National Truffle Fest

Truffles, the prized fungal sort, will attract epicureans for a weekend of talks from truffle experts and growers, culinary seminars, and gourmet tastings and wine dinners by award-winning chefs. Though the event highlights the Black Diamond Perigord found in the Blue Ridge Mountains, other varieties will be showcased. The festival culminates Saturday night with a gala wine dinner. Proceeds benefit Frankie Lemmon School & Developmental Center, a North Carolina-based nonprofit that serves special needs children.
