Boom Town
Date:
February 26, 2012 - 3:00pm
Fusing theater, dance, and acrobatics, this performance by Cirque Mechanics follows two saloon owners seeking to strike it rich during the California Gold Rush. Boom Town was inspired by mining equipment used during the 1860s, including ore carts and a revolving crane, on which these contemporary circus performers will swing, leap, flip, and balance. The story has all the attributes of a winning tale—adventure, romance, discovery, and comedy.
