Asheville Symphony Opening with Rachel Barton Pine

The Asheville Symphony Orchestra opens its 50th anniversary season with the works of one of the giants of ballet: Tchiakovsky and portions of his score for Sleeping Beauty. Violinist Rachel Barton Pine makes her Asheville debut, bringing her virtuosic mastery and lustrous tone to Szymanowski’s Concerto No. 1. The symphony will also perform Hindemith’s “Metamorphosis.”
