Arts & Crafts Conference
Called “the most important weekend of the year for arts and crafts collectors” by The New York Times, this conference presents educational workshops and seminars on topics such as textiles, printmaking, and design. In addition, three shows are open to the public. The Antiques exhibit showcases rare pieces of Stickley, Roycroft, and Limbert furniture. Contemporary Craftsfirms features 50 artisans and vendors representing the arts-and-crafts style. And Books, Magazines & More is a source for print material on the subject. Daily tours of homes that exemplify the style’s signature features will be led by the Buncombe County Preservation Society. Nightly celebrations include giveaways. Lodging packages are available. Friday, 8:30 a.m.-10 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m.-11 p.m., Sunday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; (828) 628-1915; www.arts-craftsconference.com
