Enter the Mind of Moog
Thursday, May 21
The Moog Foundation transformed the Orange Peel into an interactive exhibit of electronic instruments to celebrate the birthday of late music pioneer Bob Moog.

Four all-star bands performed and recorded a live album at the event and the evening closed with a birthday cake contest. A dozen artisan bakeries paid tribute to Moog with their creations. Proceeds benefited the foundation's goal of building the Moogseum, an "exploratorium at the intersection of music and science." The proposed plan for the museum includes archives of the engineer's designs and prototypes, exhibition space, and a 200-seat performance venue. (See a proposed layout of the museum here).

A permanent "Mini-moogseum" was also installed in Orange Peel during the event.
