Where's the 'ANY' key?

Sorry, but that’s how I usually start every one of my majestically awkward forays into public speaking, so why not stick with what works as I delve into the internet, right?

Well, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, there are some changes happening around WNCmagazine.com. We’re dragging the site—kicking and screaming—out of 1998 and starting to get more interactive. For example, allow me do my best flight attendant impersonation as I direct your attention to our new events calendar to the right. Pretty soon, that rectangle will be stuffed full of things to do all across the 23 counties that we cover (please don’t make them name them all).

Sooner than later, we expect to be generating regular online-exclusive content, posting videos to complement what’s happening in print as well as archiving back issues of the magazine. Also, we’re probably going to start another blog, which will be written by the staffers in our office, to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what we’re working on for the magazine.

As for me, I’ll be giving you a bit of the same plus my picks for what to do around WNC this week, a little bit of name dropping wherever possible, and all the typographical errors you can handle.

So come back often, because the people who run this company finally gave us some decent technology for our website. And we’re not afraid to use it.
